Be 3G ryšio, Microsoft Exchange palaikymo, GPS sistemos, telefonas šiek tiek pasikeitė ir išoriškai. Vietoje aliuminio iPhone dangtelio dabar naudojamas plastikinis (juodas 8 GB modelyje ir juodas arba baltas 16 GB modelyje), įrenginio kraštai tapo kiek plonesni.
